Preacher

J.D. (Jeff) Sweeten has Bachelor’s Degrees in Speech (Tarleton State University) and History (UT at Permian Basin, along with some Master’s work). He began preaching part-time in High School in 1973 and has preached in full-time works since 1981. He also serves with WVBS answering Bible questions. He served as a deacon at the Lytle church of Christ, as an elder at the Buda-Kyle church of Christ and is currently the pulpit minister for the Park Heights church of Christ in Hamilton, Texas.

Jeff has been married to Kelleen Kris (Haller) Sweeten for 46 years, has three children (Landa in Waco, Texas-archivist at Baylor University, Andrew in Buda, Texas-IT consultant/supervisor, Shane in South Africa-Evangelist) and ten grandchildren (five in the states and five in South Africa). He is an avid outdoorsman, motorcyclist and a Navy veteran.
